Virgo

Virgo is the only sign of the Zodiac represented by a female- the Virgin. The dates of this sign are from August 23 to September 22 and the planet Mercury rules it. Those born under this sign are usually modest and shy, reliable, practical and intelligent. They can also be overcritical and worry a lot. They tend to lean towards being conservative and wanting to preserve the status quo. Outwardly, a Virgo may seem to be emotionally cold and sometimes this prevents them from committing to friendships, which are often superficial in nature.

The outward lack of emotion could cause problems for some people under the sign of Virgo because they suppress their feelings, keeping them suppressed inside. They are not very trusting of others and often lack self-confidence in their judgements. Yet, they can be very good speakers, sensible and wise, often with a good understanding of the problems of others.

Males under this sign may appear to be effeminate when they are very masculine. Both males and females make good partners in a marriage and good parents. They are very studious and intellectual, and often their realist nature slows down their projects because they tend to be too meticulous. They get easily discourages when things go wrong because they also tend to be perfectionists.

They make better followers than leaders because of they do not like to have responsibility. They use precise language and grammatical errors in writing are something that really irks them. Sometimes they are so prudent that it hampers their relationships because they are so modest and reticent.

Many Virgoans have problems with the reproductive system, but they are also susceptible to colds and coughs, as well as illnesses of the nervous system. They are also vulnerable to illness of the stomach and bowels and need to be careful about the foods they eat.
